Fitch Fuel Catalyst
We are excited to be a distributor of an excellent fuel cost reducer to our customers, The Fitch Fuel Catalyst!
Fitch Fuel Catalyst is UL Certified and available for all commercial and residential oil burners. Residential & multi-family applications are warranted for 5 years and commercial applications for 10,000 operating hours.
Fitch Fuel Catalyst is installed in the fuel delivery line and is a maintenance-free
device. It will improve your combustion which also means cleaner burning in the
fuel. Your heating appliance will stay cleaner, maintain a higher degree of operating
efficiency and require less maintenance.
If your oil savings are less than 10%, you may return the unit for a complete refund at any time up to one year after installation.
Results from installing the Fitch Fuel Catalyst are:
- Stack temperature increase
- Increased heat output per gallon of fuel burned
- Reduces nozzle size as a result of less fuel required to obtain the same BTU output.
What does this mean to you? A more efficient heating system, less fuel consumed, and you reduce your heating costs.

How it Works
The Fitch Fuel Catalyst is a true catalyst where: Catalysis is the process in which the rate
of a chemical reaction is either increased or decreased by means of a chemical substance known as
a catalyst. Unlike other reagents that participate in the chemical reaction, a catalyst is not
consumed by the reaction itself. In other words it creates a chemical without taking away or
adding anything to the substance it is changing.
As fuel passes over the surface of the disks (the catalyst) inside the container, it acts as a "cold cracking"
device and breaks down the long chain hydrocarbons to smaller rounder segments allowing fuel to burn more
completely. This represents the change we see in stack temperatures where the degrees increase after the
addition of the Fitch unit. To correct and lower the temperatures back to pre installation degrees, we lower
the size of the nozzle and that is where the fuels savings occur. In some cases we have had better than 15%
reduction in nozzle size.
Cracking is the function used to break down crude oil into the different types oil products. This is done
through heating crude oil and each level of temperatures will produce specific product types — i.e. bunker
oil, home heating oil, diesel, kerosene, gas, propane, etc.
