FLIR Thermal Imaging Camera Pictures

At Maine Energy Conservation, LLC we target our services to Maine homeowners. Being property owners ourselves and living our lives in Maine we understand how harsh the winter months can be and understand the importance in today’s economy of having an energy efficient home.

Our energy audits go into great detail. We do a basement to attic examination of your residence. Our audits include:

  • FLIr Infrared Heat Loss Evaluation: Complete inspection, including healpful guidance and simple repairs that will drastically decrease your energy costs. Using our Infrared camera, we will evaluate your home and quickly identify leaky areas in your home's shell and diagnose specific areas of cold air infiltration.
  • Blower Door Test: This test will measure the amount of air leakage in your building. Our blower door depressurizes the structure and simulates 20 mph winds from all sides of the building. It identifies the areas where the air is escaping and it also determines if the house is too tight which can lead to health issues such as moisture and mold.
  • Thermal Imaging Cameras: The tests we run using these cameras will find missing or poorly installed insulation and other thermal defects. Combined with the blower door test, they will also expose air leakage sites that are buried deep inside ceilings, walls, and floor assemblies.
  • Written Report: After your audit has been performed you will receive a report with our recommendations which include heat loss calculations, pictures of repair areas, diagrams and suggestions for repairs. This written report applies to our $399 full energy audit homeowner service and our $200 per unit full energy audit for multi-family housing.

Homeowner Pricing

For $399, our audits include a personal walk–through inspection of your home from basement to attic. We gather information from owners, answer questions and address specific concerns about your home. Using our Infrared camera, we will evaluate your home’s thermal boundary and quickly identify areas of cold air infiltration. Some repairs can even be completed in a weekend. Small changes could save up to 10% or even 20% on your heating costs!

A full energy audit gives you an in-depth report of your home’s energy use, where heat is lost and possible repairs. This comprehensive report will provide you with detailed recommendations and steps to drastically reduce your energy costs. We can accurately evaluate how much heat your home loses by testing with our blower door. It depressurizes the structure and simulates 20 mph winds from all sides of the building, allowing air leakage to be located and measured. Our report will identify areas in your home in which improvements can be made to immediately reduce your energy loss and begin saving you money.

Multi-Family Pricing

FLIR Heat Loss Evaluation Will Help Your Bottom Line

For just $99 one of our qualified auditors will walk through 2 units ($40 each additional unit) with you. 40 years of experience in the maintenance of multi-family buildings and use of the latest infrared cameras allow us to recommend repairs that should be made, indicating just how much you can save with each one.

We can do a full energy audit for $200 per unit and provide you a detailed written report of how energy efficient your building is (or is not). Using a blower door and the FLIR (Forward-Looking Infrared) camera, we can give you a list of possible repairs that could be made and how much each repair could save you on your heating costs.
